张斌带着手铐坐在审讯室里，他一把打翻了顾明哲给他送的水。顾明哲知道因为继母的从小虐待，张斌怕水。他将从邻居那得到的张斌被虐待的经历讲了出来，父亲不愿他再被继母虐待，带着他搬了出来，人虽然离开，但是受到的伤害依然还在。他为了复仇，开始练习杀人。但是没想到他还是被警察盯上了，父亲为了保护他，替他顶罪。父亲死后，继母为了得到父亲的赔偿金，又回到他身边，在外人面前，继母一副慈爱，背底里仍然虐待着他。继母竟然还想将他从高高的台阶推下，他看着用父亲赔偿金打扮的花枝招枝的继续，心中充满了愤恨。他意识到自己再不动手，必将死在继母手中，他开始做着力量训练，为杀害她做着准备。机会终于来了，在经常出事的缆车被更换的前一天，他让继母将他推上了缆车。当缆车运行到空中时，他狠狠了勒死了继母，然后将她绑上手脚，装进黑色塑料袋里，扔到了江中。顾明哲的讲述让张斌听的十分动容，但仍然冷静地将自己置身于旁观者，夸赞顾明哲故事讲的好。何君冲进来告诉他，更换的缆车保存在仓库，上面有他和贾慧萍的血迹，而且他将当年的轮椅做为战利品，摆在自己家中，而轮椅上同样有贾慧萍的血迹。张斌面对确凿的证据，一下子慌乱了，大叫贾慧萍该死。何君告诉他大家同情他的遭遇，但是这些经历并不是他杀人的理由。张斌听了她的话，反而冷静了，辩解自己是正当防卫。顾明哲看着卑鄙无耻的张斌，恨不得揍他。根据目前的证据，张斌极有可能被无罪释放，一定要找到强有力的证据，才能将张斌治罪。这些年来，何君一直在找身体上有钢钉的骨骸，她就是想确认曹征的生死。曹征无精打彩地躺在床上，父亲劝他出去找那位漂亮的女孩子，父亲不知道曹征正为女孩子的逝去而悲伤。曹征站在静雅追悼会的门口，迟疑着不敢进去。静雅妈妈将他叫进去，让他与静雅做最后一次的告别。曹征看着静雅的照片，非常懊恼自责，他想起顾明哲承诺一定会将张斌绳之以法。何君再次来看曹父，曹父觉得她现在的样子和当时的曹征一样，案子破了，仍旧闷闷不乐。曹父将一瓶银杏果子送给何君。顾明哲到文静雅当年遇害的江边寻找线索，他不明白文静雅已经遇害，张树森为何不带张斌离开，还留在这里。何君到静雅家，向静雅妈妈了解到静雅当天也收到一瓶银杏果种子。再向静雅同事确认，静雅当天将银杏果带在身边。何君和顾明哲再到当时张树森碰到曹征的地点，这里已长出了两颗银杏树，他怀疑张树林当年是帮张斌销毁证据。静雅被害的那天，张斌饭后准备出门，张树森提醒张斌换掉保安制服，但被张斌拒绝了。张斌将静雅打晕，准备捆绑时，被醒来的静雅用银杏果瓶子打破了张斌的头。张斌再将她打晕，装进袋中，张树林震惊地看着儿子杀人，这时传来了曹征的声音，他赶紧将银杏果和玻璃碎片埋了起来，将曹征引导到相反的方向。干警们在何君和顾明哲的安排下，在银杏树下挖出了玻璃碎片。张斌案正在开庭审讯，律师为张斌做无罪辩护，这时，刑警送来了新的证据，法官暂停了庭审。张斌知道自己逃不掉了。
