孙宏韬觉得有潜在威胁的不止顾明哲，还有何君。当年，何君专门到乡下看望曹征，她为曹征带了两大包的东西。从小在城里长大的她，看着乡下的一草一木都觉得十分新鲜。她通过路人的指引找到了派出所。派出所一名值班警察告诉她，曹征去了北国水库，她便找了过去。她看到曹征偷偷摸摸地样子，便悄悄地跟上去，没想到曹征捉了只鸭子。曹征看着突如其来的何君，显的有些不好意思。两人从树林中刚走出来，便看到一男子和媳妇吵架。曹征好心上去劝架，却被男子粗暴地辱骂起来。旁人赶紧向那名男子介绍曹征的身份，急忙将他拉走。曹征将何君带到他的宿舍，交为她打开了热水。何君知道乡下条件艰苦，非常贴心地为曹征带来了很多药品和日常品，还买了鞋子和衣服。曹征的同事羡慕地趴在门口看着他们，何君自告奋勇地要为他们做顿好吃的改善伙食。派出所的同事等着吃何君做的饭，对着曹征一个劲地夸赞何君，曹征连忙向他们解释只是同事，但哪有人信啦。过了许久，何君端出了一盘烧焦的鱼，还差一点要把厨房点了。曹生可不敢再让她做菜了，连忙和其他同事一起准备了几个小菜。何君非常内疚地连罚三杯，同事们看着何君海量，也纷纷向她敬酒。喝酒自是有来有往，何君必是要回敬，不知不觉间便喝多了。等酒席散了，何君借着酒劲告诉曹征，自己在局里的处境非常难堪，自己是想作一名做他一样能破大案的刑警，而同事们却指使她做一起鸡毛蒜皮的杂事。曹征何尝不想回到一线，但是他知道自己的处境，他只好抱歉地告诉何君，他目前是回不去的。但是希望他不要放弃自己，一定要相信自己，没有人有权利指使她做什么。何君听完她的这番话，仿佛找到了方向，很快使睡着了。此时，坐着自家温暖的大床上的何君，回想这些往事，心里充满了感激，是曹征让她看到了希望，是他让自己找准了位置。这时，妈妈推门进来，让她明天穿着买的新裙子去相亲。何君本能地想要拒绝，但听说妈妈假装的咳嗽声，又不想让她伤心，便答应了明天相亲。妈妈走后，何君又陷入深深的回忆中。她第二天早上醒来，头疼欲裂，她想起昨天曹征放在床边的一杯水，想起曹征帮自己盖被子，就觉得很温暖。但同时想起昨天喝醉的样子，又觉得很丢脸。曹征此时坐在河边钓鱼，昨天那条鱼做坏了，他想再钓一条鱼做给何君。何君这时也来到河边，她看到一农妇正写着诗，她越看越喜欢，不经意地念了出来。她请农妇将其他诗也拿给自己欣赏，两人正愉快地聊着天，她男人粗鲁地打断她们，让女人赶紧回家去。女人不敢耽搁，赶紧拿了东西走了。何君不免向曹征抱怨这些，曹征笑了笑，让她学习自己钓鱼静静心。何君同曹征一人一支鱼杆，并排坐着安静地钓起鱼了。何君知道曹征喜欢听歌，为他买了新的CD机，想让他换掉那部旧的随声听。但曹征拒绝接受她的这部CD机，也没有将随身听的故事讲给何君听。两个正吃着饭的人气氛有点尴尬，曹征出门上厕所时，听到了马石头媳妇传出的尖叫声，便冲到他们家制止了马石头暴打媳妇。等到再次回到自己房间时，何君留下了一张字条，早已经离开了。天色已晚，何君一个人提心吊胆地走在街上，她感觉被人跟踪，便快步走到一家商店门口停了下来，马石头从她身后走了过去，买了瓶酒。她继续向前走着，一辆车在她身边停了下来，司机以顺路为由叫她上车。何君上车后，发现车后辆还有一个男人。何君心里有种不祥的预感，她发现车走的道路都很偏僻，便一面与他们小心攀谈着，一面用手轻轻叩开了开门。她急速跳下车去，两男人见状停下车追上来。一男子与何君厮打起来，另一男子发现了何君掉落的工作证。两人知道放了何君他们也没活路，便合力想要制何君于死地。
