刘家齐回到上海还没来得及休息，阿昆来到刘家齐的住处，透露高家有请，刘家齐心知不能怠慢高家，赶紧来到高家拜会高父高母，二老坐在客厅见刘家齐到来，立即宣布刘家齐与高晓彤不日举行婚礼。一直反对高晓彤嫁给刘家齐的高母见丈夫同意让刘家齐结婚，心中又惊又急不知如何是好。高父一本正经看着刘家齐，询问刘家齐心中是怎么样想的，刘家齐早就非常希望能做高家女婿，二话不说同意了高父的要求。这边刘家齐即将结婚，那边秀秀蒙在鼓中每日按部就班守着豆腐店，一日石海生来豆腐店买豆腐，趁着买豆腐的时候与秀秀攀谈，二人谈了没多久一名老者过来买豆腐，石海生从秀秀手中接过包好的豆腐转身离去，刚刚走了进步忽然掉头回来，将手中的钱放到了秀秀面前。秀秀见石海生忘记结账只觉哭笑不得，中午休息的时候她专程来到缝纫店做新衣服。做好了新衣服，秀秀在柱子的陪同下前往上海寻找刘家齐，二人做船过江巧遇石海生，石海生得知秀秀要去上海，二话不说主动提出做秀秀的向导，在石海的帮助下，秀秀与柱子找到了刘家齐的住处，刘家齐没有料到秀秀会来上海，大惊失色让阿昆出门骗走秀秀，岂料刘家齐的表弟柱子是头倔驴，得知自己的表哥出外办事有可能几天不回，柱子不顾阿昆反对住入刘家。刘家齐与高晓彤在高家正式结婚，结婚过后是洞房花烛夜，刘家齐离开高晓彤回到住处拿东西，正在睡觉的秀秀惊醒过来，一见刘家齐归来，秀秀惊喜万分替刘家齐收拾了一些衣物。刘家齐愧疚万分注视收拾衣物的秀秀，心中纵有千般不舍也只得狠起心欺骗秀秀，秀秀并不知道刘家齐已经有了新的妻子，临别之时叮嘱刘家齐好好保重。刘家齐带着衣物回到高家，高晓彤因为刘家齐迟迟不归大发雷霆，在愤怒的驱使下，高晓彤扔掷刘家齐带回来的衣物，刘家齐面色平静提醒高晓彤不能扔母亲做的毛衣，高晓彤将毛衣拿在手中观瞧，惊叹于刘母的手艺，要求刘家齐以后回家也让母亲做件毛衣给她。入住高家第二天早上，刘家齐与高家围桌吃饭，其间有人打电话给高父，高父通完电话喜形于色回到餐桌吃饭，将有朋友能治高启文的事情说了出来，刘家齐非常担心高启文的伤患能好转，悄悄来到房间打电话叮嘱阿昆想办法除掉高启文。除了把事情交给高启文办理，刘家齐还雇佣上海青帮以及一些地痞流氓与杀手老大做对，威胁杀手老大要么继续暗杀高启文，要么就等着被人踢馆。
