Etter å ha tatt farvel med N og kompanjongene, har våre helter kommet fram til Dragespiraltårnet. De er like ved De hvite ruiner, og Ash er utålmodig. Men først må de finne ut av noe. Pignite sin Flamethrower har blitt veldig svak, og etter å ha undersøkt litt, finner de ut at noe sitter fast inni nesen. Det hjelper ikke å hoppe opp og ned, og Charizard sin spinning i lufta hjelper heller ikke. Til slutt prøver Iris å kile Pignite i nesen med et gresstrå. Da kommer det ut i et kraftig nys, det som viser seg å være en kapsel fra et tidligere Bullet Seed-angrep.
Mens de er opptatt med dette, driver Team Plasma og Team Rocket og lurer hverandre. Jessie og James bryter seg inn i Team Plasmas laboratorium for å stjele maskinen som Colress bruker til å kontrollere Pokémon. Mens alle jager dem, går Meowth inn til Dr. Colress og inviterer ham til å bli med i Team Rocket. Colress virker smigret, men først vil han bruke Meowth som testobjekt. Meowth går med på det, og planlegger å bruke sine spesialtrente konsentrasjonsferdigheter til å unngå å bli påvirket av maskinen. Men maskinen er for kraftig og Meowth faller offer for Team Plasmas kontroll. Den vender seg til og med mot Jessie og James når de kommer tilbake etter å ha vært lokkemat for Team Plasma. Etter mye kamp klarer de å trenge gjennom Meowth sine Fury Swipes og gjenopprette kontakt med sin partner, og de flykter sammen alle tre.
Ghetsis er ikke fornøyd med at Team Plasma ikke har klart å få tak i N, men han har oppdaget noe som kanskje kan lede dem til Reshiram, og det befinner seg ved De hvite ruiner. Jessie, James og Meowth overhører dette fordi de har plassert lytteutstyr på laboratoriet til Team Plasma. Så nå ser det ut til at våre helter, Team Plasma og Team Rocket skal til samme sted.
