Når de krysser et fjell når det er like før de er i Icirrus City og Ash sin neste Gym-kamp, blir heltene våre over-rasket når de ser opp og oppdager at to kampesteiner kommer styrtende mot dem. Plutselig blir steinene smadret av en utrolig mann som Cilan gjenkjenner som Brycen, kampsportfilmstjernen!
Cilan gjør greie for Brycens karriere i detalj, og han kommer plutselig på hvorfor Cilan sluttet å spille inn filmer. Brycen forklarte at han var blitt skadet under en filminnspilling på grunn av manglende trening, så han var der med Beartic (hans medskuespiller i filmer) for å starte treningen fra scratch igjen.
Når Brycen aner trøbbel, finner vi ut at Volcarona, Fjellets vokter, har blitt tatt til fange av en Pokémon-jeger med navnet Rizzo (som det viser seg var ansvarlig for de fallende kampesteinene). Brycen blir sint og krever at Volcarona skal settes fri, men Rizzo nekter. Men han sier seg villig til å ha en kamp for å bestemme Volcaronas skjebne og Ash tar imot utfordringen sammen med hans Krokorok.
Når det viser seg at Ash og hans Krokorok har beseiret Rizzo og hans Jellicent, bringer Rizzo ut en Jellicent nummer to. De tre fanger både Volcarona og Krokorok, men det er da Brycen og Beartic kommer til unn-stening! Med overveldende ferdigheter og krefter, blir Rizzo beseiret og deretter tatt til fange av Offiser Jenny,
som transporterer den onde Pokémon-jegeren av sted for å stille ham ansvar for hans handlinger.
Når Ash forteller Brycen at han skal utfordre Icirrus City Gym, sier Brycen at han er Gym-leder der! Vi forlater dem i det alle ser fram til Ash sin kommende Gym-kamp med overraskelse, forundring og spenning.
