The 29th Dream Concert was hosted by the Korea Tourism Organization (KTO) and the Korea Entertainment Producer’s Association (KEPA) and took place on May 27 at the Busan Asiad Sports Stadium. Busan was chosen as this year’s host city in support of the city’s successful bid of World Expo, marking the concert’s first time to be held in a region other than Seoul. The venue Busan Asiad Main Stadium should be familiar to some K-pop fans as it had served as the concert venue for BTS in the previous year. The final lineup announced on May 3 revealed performances by popular K-pop stars Golden Child, KIM JAE HWAN, Kim Taewoo, DRIPPIN, DREAMCATCHER, BB Girls, OH MY GIRL, ONEUS, EVERGLOW, ITZY, JO1, NMIXX, TAN, TEMPEST, Lapillus, JUST B, NINE.i, and MIRAE. While ASTRO‘s Moonbin&Sanha were originally announced as part of this year’s lineup last month, their appearance has inevitably been cancelled in the wake of Moonbin’s tragic passing.
