新吾（松岡昌宏）のもとに、前に勤めていた料亭のオーナー・風間（高橋克実）から連絡が入る。名古屋に新しい店を出すので、ぜひ店長になって欲しいという。「そろそろいいだろう、高校生を育てるのは」という風間の言葉に、新吾は返事を保留する。一方、調理クラブでは3年生たちの進路が次々に決まっていた。岸野（伊藤英明）が奔走した「せんぱいの店」にも数名の部員の進路が決まっていた。だがまだ陽介（神木隆之介）ら5人の進路が決まっていない。陽介は新吾のように、東京の料亭で修業したいと考えていた。進路の決まらない先輩たちのために、真衣（川島海荷）は「何か自分たちにできることはないか」と考える。真奈美（三吉彩花）が「先輩たちの料理を就職先の会社の人たちに食べてもらえないか」と言い出し、岸野は「それや！」と飛びつく。そして岸野はレストランに県内外の調理関係会社や店のオーナー、ホテル関係者などを招待して料理を食べてもらう“プレゼンテーション開店”を行うことにする。新吾にももちろん異存はなかった。岸野は先輩想いの後輩を育てた新吾に改めて感心する。だが新吾は岸野に、風間から誘いがあることを言い出せなくなっていた。そして“プレゼンテーション開店”当日。新吾はすべてを生徒に任せ、様子を見守ることにする。緊張のなか料理を間違って出したり、お客様からの質問に詰まる生徒もいた。が、そのたびに彼らはお互いをフォローし合い、なんとか切り抜けていく。閉店後、新吾は客からの感想をみんなに伝えた。「料理の味はそれほどでもないという意見が多かった」……新吾の言葉に落胆する生徒たち。しかし新吾はこう続けた。「みなさん大変に褒めてくださった。お前たちの一生懸命な姿が伝わったんだ」――なんとホールでの接客ぶりを評価したホテルの関係者から、卒業したら雇いたいというスカウトもあった。感激のあまり泣き出した生徒たちを見て、新吾は彼らを心から愛おしく感じている自分に気づく。その夜、新吾が料亭から誘われていることを知った岸野は、新吾に言う。「お前は、自分の夢を叶えろ」――果たして新吾の下す決断とは？東京で修業をしたいと願う陽介の夢は叶うのか？
