早前张保仔与旻皓正面交锋时不战而胜，旻皓自焚官船更添张保仔气焰。旻皓见炮台上的旧战炮未能封锁港口，遂产生购买洋炮的念头。小虎汇报洋务事务的是粤海关监督公署常德，旻皓马上出发前往会见常德。离开前，旻皓不忙吩咐夏婵喝药，着她在房内休息。 原来常德并不懂得洋文，跟洋人交接时得靠通事(译官)，而当中最出类拔萃的便是黄逸轩。 旻皓忽然听到夏婵房内传出的叫声，旻皓与小虎进入时，见有男子拿着一箱黄金离开，小虎欲制服该男子，夏婵劝止并解释此人是其舅父…… 夏婵舅父致胜关键 夏婵向旻皓细说与舅父的往事。旻皓听见夏婵描述她舅父曾与洋人交涉，遇上海难失去音讯，遂问其名字，原来他就是逸轩。 旻皓为了买洋炮登门造访逸轩，遇见他正被十多名老板追讨香料的债。逸轩巧舌兰花的报告大不列颠与西班牙的战役，成功骗取老板们的信任不立刻追债。旻皓没有当众揭穿逸轩的把戏，并亲自邀请他到府上作客。 成为通事态度嚣张 旻皓亲自迎接逸轩到其府上，逸轩态度嚣张，竟然要坐贝勒的轿子，一路上还多次停下购买心头好。旻皓为顾全大局，将所受的气全都忍了下来。 宴席上，逸轩大谈他的见闻奇谈，陪席的尔泰认为他是谎话连篇，再听见逸轩提出购买洋炮的报酬，竟然是半年军饷及一座提督府时，坚决反对。可是旻皓将逸轩视为推心置腹的朋友，一口答应逸轩的要求。 夏婵着舅父务必要为旻皓购得洋炮，逸轩明白若购置失败，自己必客死异乡，所以才提出如此过分的要求。 娣妹拒爱惹上众怒 娣妹拒绝了张保仔的爱意后，竟然惹怒了水寨的人，在街上受人指骂。石娇看见张保仔终日为情借酒浇愁，于心不忍，遂要求娣妹离开水寨。娣妹自知若离开水寨，便遇不到水龙卷，等如不能返回现代，所以坚决不走。就算张保仔亲自前来，要求她离开，娣妹亦宁死不从。 张保仔遂迫娣妹跟他一起成为海盗，这样才能留在水寨。娣妹无奈答应，但说自己要做一个善良的海盗。张保仔向她展示海盗三宝的绳索、匕首及投名状，娣妹不解甚么是投名状，张保仔只谓一会儿要靠她自己争取。 张保仔夜闯水师营 水师营潮字与浙字两个阵营的士兵受到尔泰的唆摆，纷纷擅离职守，水师营目前等同一座空城。旻皓见尔泰扰乱军心，遂拿出黄马褂打算先斩后奏，重罚尔泰。… ...
