一班悍匪绑架资讯业界富商杨涛国，更枪杀多名保镖。涛国被胁持上车后，车辆被两名警员截查，涛国试图向警察暗示遭绑架，但对方却无反应。 车辆驶离后，警员娣妹立即向总部要求增援；警方到场与绑匪于街上展开枪战，娣妹亦未有退缩。绑匪带涛国走进工厂大厦内的厨房，当其中一名绑匪遭枪击倒下，涛国打算趁机逃走；可是娣妹见有匪徒从他背后开枪，危急之际将涛国推进一个盛满残羹的胶桶内。 成功救人反要道歉 匪徒逃出大厦墙外，娣妹不畏危险，紧追其后跳下檐篷，可惜檐篷塌下弄伤了途人及其狗。娣妹接受记者访问时，一时冲动回应说三日内可将在逃犯人绳之于法。娣妹这句说话引起其上司极为不满，而涛国更公开表示警方办事不力。 娣妹获晋升为沙展，她虽向涛国送上道歉咭，但仍被调到长洲。娣妹前往医院探望在追捕匪徒时受伤的途人，其中一名伤者为Bowie。娣妹跟他道歉，可是Bowie却觉得只是她警察职责所在，令娣妹对他大有好感。 娣妹得知Bowie所养的狗只也在此期间受伤，答应于Bowie留院期间暂替他看顾狗只。电视新闻报道涛国绑架案主谋「贼王」仍然在逃，娣妹看到新闻后似有所思。 娣妹升职调返长洲 娣妹带着狗狗返回长洲老家，心情雀跃。甫下船狗狗突然向前奔走，娣妹只好从后跟随。原来狗狗找到自己的主人Bowie；娣妹再遇Bowie，得知他还会在长洲多留数天，推介他前往张保仔洞写生。 娣妹回到姊姊娣女的海味店，只见姊姊一人在辛勤工作。娣女见妹妹回来欣喜若狂，并马上拿店内最好的花胶煲汤给她补身，可是其丈夫傅码是个一毛不拔的吝啬鬼，不断的埋怨娣女竟大花金钱在汤水上。娣妹觉姊姊为丈夫任劳任怨，终日只吃剩饭冷菜，她还偷听到姊夫希望姊姊自己交回租金。娣妹为免姊姊为难，将八千元交给娣女。 娣女出言维护丈夫 娣妹回到警署报到，同僚均是从小就认识的世叔伯；高级督察梁剑峰欢迎她回到老家，又煞有介事的告诉她，长洲发生很多不可思议的事件，可是在长洲长大的娣妹却不以为然，只觉长洲警署所接的案件太鸡毛蒜皮。 Bowie真的按娣妹的推介前往张保仔洞写生，可是一进洞内，洞口便倒塌下来。正在执勤的娣妹路经一间食店，看见傅码正在大宴街坊，还送出上等的花胶作礼，只觉他对外人豪爽，对姊姊却刻薄得很。… ...
