细鸡去报到入伍途中，遇见一批日兵携着火药入村，大惊失色。细鸡首先引爆火药，接着赶回村通知村民逃跑。 细鸡走入张家，催促寄生一家赶快离开。张来因双目失明，怕连累寄生及人蔘而不肯离去，拜托细鸡照顾寄生二人，细鸡二话不说背着张来就走。 细鸡为救寄生牺牲 四人逃至荒郊休息，一名日兵骑着电单车而至，四人慌忙躲起来。日兵下车小解，张来不慎弄出声音，被日兵发现拖出来，细鸡挺身相救失败。日兵看见寄生色心顿起，寄生为救三人甘愿牺牲，含泪叮嘱细鸡好生照顾张来及人蔘，催促离开。 细鸡带着张来与人蔘逃至安全地点，即折返救寄生。细鸡在破屋看见日兵正要强暴寄生，即冲进与日兵纠缠，一声枪响，寄生惊见细鸡胸部中枪。鸡胸射杀日兵，枪声却引来一众日兵。受伤严重的细鸡要求寄生杀他，免受日兵残酷对待，又向寄生诉说爱意，寄生忍痛下手！ 寄生惨遭日兵强暴 寄生寻得张来与人蔘，告知细鸡已牺牲了，三人抱头痛哭。寄生以草织草蜢当作细鸡遗体安葬，并以未亡人身份拜祭。一群日兵追至，寄生独自引开日兵，遭猎犬噬咬，人蔘见状大叫，被日兵发现二人，二人被射杀，寄生悲痛嚎哭！ 寄生惨被日兵队长强暴，队长欲杀她之际共产党游击队偷袭而至，日兵全部被杀。游击队队长江尚红看见全身赤裸的寄生，心生怜悯，寄生羞愧下发狂噬咬尚红，尚红只好打晕她。 寄生重拾生存动力 游击队在小村的基地内，队员张小明重伤垂死，尚红强忍悲痛为他临终表演「数白榄」。寄生醒来，惊见施救的尚红就是当日赠银者。寄生拒绝进食又质问尚红为何不让她死去，尚红语重心长的一席话，给予寄生生存下去的动力。 尚红带寄生到小村的墓地，寄生瞥见一墓牌写有「未婚妻赵淑君」字样，尚红沈痛表示淑君是他的未婚妻。寄生看见父弟已被埋葬，跪在墓前失声痛哭，流着泪为他们的墓牌写上名字。 寄生到尚红办公室，看到淑君的照片，又知道尚红曾为淑君缝制衣服，感到他对未婚妻的深情。寄生向尚红表示要加入游击队，为父弟报仇。
