很久很久以前，正如天地、男女、光明和黑暗一样，世界上的万物都是由对立的两极所构成的。所有的两极都势均力敌，保持了世界的和谐。主人公所生活的世界又分为仙界和凡界。住在仙界的虎族和龙族写成了维持宇宙秩序的“太极千字文”，一分为二，各保管一半，保证世界的和谐和仙界的和平。但是有一天，龙族的一伙势力挑起了叛乱，迪加当上了龙族之王。为了获得征服世界的力量，他突袭了虎族，企图抢得千字文的另一半。仙界失去了安宁，情况危急之下，虎族之王为了不使千字文落入迪加的手中，将刻着千字文的碑石毁去。碎了的千字文的碑石跌落凡界，好不容易逃脱的虎族战士也来到凡界避难。但是龙族的战士追寻千字文，一路追赶到了凡界。争夺千字文的龙族和虎族之间的战乱由此蔓延到了凡界。 曾经宁静的村子里，小学生拉伊的母亲被龙族的战士杀害了，虎族的精锐部队“太极守虎队”出手把他救下。拉伊由此跟虎族战士们一起寻找千字文碑石的石块…… 除了拉伊以外，塞娜、姘、多力、顿克4名少男少女也加入到“太极守虎队”中，他们不仅建立起深厚的友谊，而且借助千字文的力量成长为虎族最勇猛强大的战士。太极千字文的秘密也将在此过程中揭开神秘的面纱。
