花咲舞和相马健在府中支行临店时，意外遇到了舞的前男友平井勇磨，他接手了爸爸的公司成为年轻企业家。平井身边有一位从东京第一银行调过来，现任平井工程的役员助川信次。相马曾是助川的下属，这次久违的相聚让他感到些许尴尬。同时，昇仙峡玲子和经营企划部长纪本平八正在讨论四大银行的势力版图。他们认为为了让目前排名第三的东京第一银行重回榜首，必须隐瞒临店小组揭发的不正行为……那晚，为了寻求协助，平井来到花咲家。花咲健对前男友突然出现感到惊讶。平井透露他担心助川可能想要夺取公司的控制权，但他不明白助川为什么要接管一家表现平平的公司。听完这番话，相马表示“我不认为助川会做亏本的事，他一定有他的理由”，于是决定在连假期间前往平井公司进行调查。舞对通常不怎么积极的相马，竟然愿意放弃休假来调查这件事感到好奇。连假来临，舞和相马到访平井工程，公司的看板犬兼宣传部长イチロー与平井一起迎接他们。他们在办公室检查帐簿和文件时发现，过去一年里有两千万日圆的经费收据遗失了！舞发现收据开始遗失的时间，正好与原会计课长菊池一男被调到工厂线上的时间重合，于是决定去找菊池谈谈。菊池表示他被助川强行调动，现在正考虑退休。面对平井希望他能帮忙改善公司状况的请求，菊池拒绝说“只要助川还在，这家公司就无法改变”。然而舞仍不愿放弃，坚持追问之下，菊池最终给了她一个重要的线索……。
