松永纯是一位工作能力很强，但最讨厌歪理的29岁平面设计师。与调酒师铃木健太郎、美甲师大贯朝子、咖喱店的打工店员服部茜一起住在合租的房子里。有一天，房东河北雅彦的侄女、高中2年级学生园田美己对他说:“请让我住在这里!”。一问才知道，父母为了继承母亲老家的旅馆，搬到了和歌山，但无论如何也不想和好友分开的美己，想在毕业前的一年里，住在叔叔家，继续上现在的学校。就在那一天，大学生北条凌也来合租，但最终还是没能签约，最终空出来的房间是说服了父母的美己住的。搬家当天，不在家的雅彦拜托松永把合租的规则告诉了美己，并马上给她起了个“miko”的外号，陪她装货、采购。并先一步回到了合租的房子，那里却出现了美己的母亲朋子的身影。原来，雅彦因为工作需要暂时到国外居住，朋子觉得不能把未成年的女儿留在与陌生的大人们共同居住的房子里，所以就想把美己带走。美己在电话里听了朋子的话，大受打击，一去不回。担心的松永，为了寻找美己冲出了合租屋…。
